Some puppies steal your heart from the moment they arrive, and Baby was one of those from the very beginning. The smallest in our River x Hylia litter, she may have been tiny, but she was full of fight, proving early on that she had no intention of being left behind. It wasn’t long before I found myself calling her “Baby,” a fitting name for the little one I spent extra time nurturing. By three weeks old, she was already responding to it, as if she knew she was meant to stay.
When it came time to evaluate the litter, Baby kept drawing me back in. Despite having a touch of white on her ear, I couldn’t ignore everything else she had to offer. Her structure is undeniable—balanced angles, effortless reach and drive, and a side gait that makes her look like she’s floating across the yard. More than that, she carries herself with a confidence and joy that make her impossible to overlook.
Her registered name, Hightide Vilano Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner, is a nod to both her call name and her spirit. Just like the iconic moment from Dirty Dancing, Baby refuses to be overlooked. She’s bold, full of personality, and keeps us laughing with her antics every day.
Baby made her debut in the 9–12 Month Puppy class and quickly made her presence known—winning her first major in Syracuse, New York under Judge Mr. Andrew Ritter. She went on to earn a total of four majors to finish her AKC Championship from the 12–18 Month class, and we couldn’t be more proud of this little firecracker and all that she’s already accomplished.
Now that her championship is complete, Baby will take a break from the ring to grow up and mature. She’ll finish her health testing, and if all goes well, we plan to pursue her Grand Championship and welcome her first litter in late 2026 or early 2027. But for now, we’re simply enjoying having her as our fun girl and beloved pet. She’s earned it. |
