Clip is our pick puppy from the Rogan × Emmy litter and is proudly owned and loved by Christine and Eric Matthews of Ijamsville, Maryland. From an early age, Clip showed the athleticism, enthusiasm, and work ethic we had hoped to see from this pedigree. Like his dam, Emmy, he possesses incredible drive and a true passion for performance, making him happiest when he has a job to do.
Although Clip is AKC pointed in conformation, his career primarily focuses on performance sports, where he continues to excel across multiple venues. Together, Clip and Christine have become an accomplished agility team, recently completing the requirements for both his Open Agility (OA) and Open Agility Jumpers (OAJ) titles. We are so proud of their continued progress and the teamwork behind each qualifying run.
Fast CAT is a true family effort for Clip, Christine, and Eric. Christine gets Clip excited and releases him at the start, while Eric waits to catch him at the finish. Together, they have helped him earn his FCAT title, and he is already halfway toward FCAT2! His speed and enthusiasm make this sport a wonderful outlet for his drive.
Eric also works with Clip in scent work, where he continues to make excellent progress. Searching brings out the same eagerness and confidence that Clip carries into his other activities, giving him another opportunity to put his busy mind to work.
Clip truly embodies the versatility, athleticism, and biddability we strive to produce in our breeding program. Whether he’s flying over agility jumps, racing down the Fast CAT course, searching in scent work, or stepping into the conformation ring, he approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and heart.
We couldn’t be more grateful to Christine and Eric for the incredible home and opportunities they provide for Clip. Their dedication to finding and developing his talents has been a joy to watch, and we look forward to cheering on all three of them through the adventures and accomplishments still to come.
