From the moment he was born, Scorpion stood out as the clear pick male from our Toga x Gemma litter, carrying the unmistakable hallmarks of both parents. We are endlessly grateful to Gemma’s owner, Serena, for entrusting us with Gemma for this special cross and for her commitment to loving, raising and supporting this promising young dog. Scorpion is everything we hoped for in this pairing and so much more.
He is the full package of structure, type and personality. Scorpion boasts a classic Aussie headpiece, a solid and correct topline, and an impressive, ground-covering side gait that catches your eye the moment he steps into motion. His expression is one of his best features. Those soft, sweet eyes could melt anyone, and he has a goofy, lovable nature that always finds a way to make you laugh.
In limited showing Scorpion is already pointed in AKC. He has also flourished in performance under the training and guidance of Carrie Klaiber of Gatehouse Mastiffs. Carrie has given him every opportunity to shine in new venues, and Scorpion has risen to the challenge. So far he has earned his Novice Barn Hunt title and his Coursing Ability title, with plans for his next levels in both sports before the end of the year. Carrie is also hoping to introduce him to rally over the winter if an indoor space becomes available for a virtual course. Watching him discover these activities has been such a joy.
True to his Mortal Kombat inspired name, Scorpion continues to deliver a “flawless victory” attitude in everything he tries. With his natural talent and enthusiasm, we are excited for all that lies ahead.
Keep an eye out for Scorpion in both performance and the show rings with Carrie and Jillayne in the winter of 2025 and 2026. This young dog’s future is bright, and we could not be more proud of him. |
