Striker had always been a standout with his breed type and ground covering stride. When it comes to versatility, he proved himself to be the "complete package" with training in herding, obedience and agility. Between his striking looks and good-natured temperament, Striker was sure to capture your eye and heart.
In less than two months, Striker easily obtained his American championship by winning over ranked specials from the classes. With very limited showing in AKC, he became a Herding Group Winner, received the first Award of Merit at the 2009 USASA National Specialty, and he also received an Award of Merit at the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club, always owner-handled by Jillayne Karras. Striker was also pointed in ASCA including a Breed win from the classes over specials.
While visiting Italy for three weeks in 2010, Striker obtained his Italian championship with a Best in Specialty Show, Group First, and several other group placements. During his short visit there he became the only male Australian Shepherd in Italy's history to finish his championship in three weekends - undefeated. Striker returned to Italy in September of 2012 and obtained his Romanian championship, making him become an International champion and earned a lifetime qualification to Crufts World Dog Show. Striker also won an all-breed Best in Show in Italy.
As a sire, Striker produced healthy puppies with breed type, efficient, ground covering movement, and sound, loving temperaments. He has produced multiple Best in Show winners, Best in Specialty Show winners, and champions in several countries, including work in agility, rally, herding, obedience, dock diving and therapy. Striker is currently a ROM sire in USASA. We look forward to the successes of Striker's offspring and his continued positive impact on the breed. |
