Toga was bred by Heather Gould of Watermark Australian Shepherds. He came to us in early 2022 to begin showing towards his AKC Championship and after a month of consistent shows and training, won back-to-back-to-back-to-back majors in Grayslake, Illinois to quickly finish his AKC Championship. He sat out to mature and came back out to earn his ASCA Championship and Grand Championship. He finished the 2022 year with limited showing as a Top 25 Australian Shepherd in AKC with a Group First and multiple Group Placements. He was also awarded Select Dog at the Sunshine State Herding Group shows in Orlando, FL with an entry of close to 100 Australian Shepherds. We have fallen in love with Toga and are so gracious that Heather Gould has allowed him to stay at Hightide. Toga's pedigree boasts a unique combination of impressive dogs from the past. His pedigree offers what many seek looking for older pedigrees with moderate dogs who were fantastic producers. Toga is a very correct, moderate dog. He is clean coming and going with a beautiful topline, lovely rich color and pigment and an easy maintenance coat. He is expressive with his masculine head and almond eye. Toga has a lovely off switch and is a very easy male to live with. His focus is exceptional and willingness to please without being too pushy or needy. His offspring thus far have been very biddable and sound both mentally and physically. He finished the 2023 year in AKC with Multiple Group Firsts, Multiple Group Placements, a Best in Specialty Show win, 43 Best of Breeds, and ranked as the #9 Australian Shepherd in the country. Toga is standing at stud to approved bitches and is located in Western Pennsylvania with us for breeding live cover as well as fresh chilled or frozen semen being shipped.
